have had a very busy and exciting time this last term of the year. We have visited Brington Primary School on Wednesday
afternoons, joining with the Reception Class, playing with the children both
inside and outside in the playground. It
has been pleasing to see how the children who will be going to school have
settled in. We hope transition will not
be such a big step for them now as they will know where they are going and who
is going to be their new teacher.
Friday mornings we have once again been to Forest School. Here the children have enjoyed rolling down
the hill in the long grass, playing hide and seek in the wood, making potions
and lots of more exciting activities.
the end of term we were sad to say bye bye to five of our children, but wish
them all the very best as they start in their new schools.
Press! As from the new term in September
we are opening on Monday afternoons for the children over three years old. This means we are now open Monday morning for
all children, Monday afternoon for the children over three, Wednesday morning
for all children, Wednesday afternoon for children over three and Friday
morning for all children.

Good news - Ofsted
visited the Pre-school in early 2015 and gave us ‘Good’. The inspector came across to the Spinney with
us and observed the children enjoying themselves making teddy houses and
following a trail. Some of the comments
that she made on the report were:
- There are warm relationships between children and
practitioners, which promote children’s well being and help to develop their
- Children access a wide range of activities that spark
their interest and encourage them to explore and be imaginative.
- Partnership working with parents is strong and parents
speak highly of staff and the difference the pre-school has made to their child’s
learning and development.
